A prettily planned bridal shower at Mrs. Alfred Brosch's home last Friday honored Miss Vivian Vallentine, with green and white decor, bridge and 42 games, and a delightfully served ice course. Estelle Machare received stationery for bridge, Gus Jaroszewski a rayon scarf for 42, Fern Richter sang, 28 guests registered, and out of town guests included Mrs. W. T. Hinds, Mrs. J. F. Smith, Mrs. A. L. Ringert, plus Elaine Brunner and Emolene Hinds.

Highway's Forgotten End Hurts Two in Wreck
In Colorado county a Ford coupe driven by James Summersgill, 73, and his son J W Summersgill, 26, crashed on the highway's forgotten end after hitting loose sand. They were helped by J J Macha of Shiner and taken to Eagle Lake for treatment. The elder man suffered severe facial wounds, a fractured arm, and a nose injury. the son had a deep gash and facial bruising. The elder later returned to Houston with his daughter.
