Storm of 1919 Hits Texas Coast and Inland Areas
The storm battered Brownsville, Galveston, and surrounding towns with high winds and heavy rain. Shiner Builds Large New Catholic Church
The Southern Messenger describes a forthcoming Shiner Catholic Church as a grand Romanesque brick structure 61 by 160 feet with a 125 foot central tower. It will seat across a rear corridor, have three front entrances two side doors and two rear doors. The cost is about 80000 dollars and the builders are Vincent Falbo and architect James Wahrenger.

Local Family Visits Return from Port Lavaca and Cuero
