Shiner Brewers Triumph 6-3 Over Legion Cubs in Sugar Game

The Shiner Brewers defeated the Legion Cubs 6 to 3 in a Sugar game before a large crowd from La Vac a Fayette and DeWitt counties. After a shaky start by Bob Berry, Albright sparked four runs in the middle innings to lead the Brewers. Lichey hit the featured home run but was ruled out at second, a call that upset him. Eppy remained ill after the loss as both teams later enjoyed a barbecue hosted by Mr. Spoetzl at the reserve, prepared by Master Barbequer Morris Kroeger.
