In Hallettsville on November 20 Judge B B Schraub sentenced Melvin Fabian to not less than two nor more than 13 years for a 1972 burglary. Several defendants received three year probation for marijuana possession and related charges.

Mrs Emil Vrana Sr of Moravia dies after months long illness at 83. Services held Nov 14 at Schwenke Baumgarten and St Rose Schulenburg. Surviving husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Roy Leslie Fincher dies at 78 in Moulton after a stroke and lengthy hospital care. Funeral was Nov 15 in Moulton with burial in Moulton City Cemetery.

Funeral services for Willie J. Seiler 83, retired blacksmith and violin maker, were conducted November 21, 1972 in Yorktown Lamprecht Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Westside Cemetery. Survivors include two sons, a brother, two sisters, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

October 1972 rural traffic toll in the Corpus Christi District reports 10 deaths in 10 fatal crashes across seven counties Hidalgo accounting for four deaths while Aransas San Patricio Refugio Victoria Cameron and Willacy each recorded one. The patrol investigated 373 accidents with 225 injured in fatal and injury crashes together and 226 property damage events.

Impressive Rites Held Sunday For Mrs Kurtz Sr

Mrs Charlie A Kurtz Sr of Shiner nee Mary Roznovsky died November 24 at M D Anderson Hospital Houston after a three year illness. Burial followed at Shiner Catholic Cemetery after a Requiem Mass at Sts Cyril and Methodius Church. Pallbearers included grandsons Edward and Gregory Kurtz. She was 70.
