As an annual custom all business houses in Shiner will close Wednesday November 11th. The observance is one of the legal holidays agreed upon and authorized by the Shiner Commercial Club.
Shiner High School staged a Saturday circus parade drawing a large crowd with on time operations. Faculty built the animals, Curt Messer led as ring master, Eddie Berckenhoff directed the concert, and Miss Fern Richter led the orchestra. Gross receipts reached 200 with a $75 animal cost, under the Parent Teacher's Association auspices.

Mrs. Augusta Messer sustained a severe injury Monday when a sudden turn while walking along the pavement outside the C. B. Welhausen & Co Store caused her to fall onto her left elbow. She experienced considerable pain Tuesday as doctors treated the fracture just below the shoulder.
The Rev J D McWhorter is reassigned as pastor of the M E Church at this place Hallettsville by the Bishop during the Annual Conference in San Antonio. The church petitioned for his return and the news is welcomed. Rev A E Rector, former pastor, moves to Hyde Park Austin.
J. J. Macha special agent for the Department of Commerce reports 6,811 bales of cotton ginned in Lavaca County from the 1925 crop prior to October 18, compared with 31,563 bales ginned to October 18, 1924.

Nordheim School plans an old-time Armistice Day celebration with events spread across the day. Students and staff will participate in activities honoring veterans and reflecting on the war's impact.
