Sad Death Of Little Luck Boy Ends After Lingering Illness
Harry Luck two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Luck died Saturday night after a lingering stomach illness. Proclaimed improving earlier, his condition worsened about 7 pm and he passed away around 11 pm. Funeral held Tuesday at 1 pm in the city cemetery. This is the third child lost by the Luck family, none living past age three. The parents receive deep sympathy from friends and neighbors.

Decoration Day Observed In Shiner With Local Choirs
A large crowd attended the Decoration Day observance on Sunday in Shiner. Participants included Sam Schwartz and Yee Jenas who prepared an interest, with songs by the church choir and the Shiner Mannerchor, while the Shiner band provided music.

Halletsville News Highlights School Board Actions and Crop Updates
The Halletsville oil mill closed for the season citing fuel costs and will switch to lignite coal and wood. Three cars of produce were shipped, two with onions and potatoes and one with potatoes only, with strong prices. The onion crop is short while potato prospects look large. The school board reviewed election returns and levied 15 cents for schools and 15 cents for a bond issue. Four board members were reappointed. teachers will be chosen next week. Plans for a new school building proceed with $18,000 district bonds to be sold.
