Shiner School Supplies Sevenths For Friday Program

The intermediate grades of Shiner School presented a notable program last Friday afternoon. They invited the seventh graders called sub-fish who said it surpassed any previous high school program. The High School Literary Society plans its next meeting for Friday April 2 with an interesting act, and Victor Dziewas warns missing the fifth number will be a lifelong regret. Alice Pohler Gertrude and her little brother Pips join the quartet on the program.

Belle of Barcelona to Be Presented by Local High School

March 26 marks a fiesta day in Barcelona as the High School pupils stage the Belle of Barcelona. Margarita de Montaro, daughter of a plantation owner, returns from Madrid finishing school and joins friends in the Plaza amid singing and dancing. Lieutenant Harold Wright, once her US ward, renews a romance as he uncovers her engagement to a scheming nobleman. the year’s drama promises a dramatic finale with the Bombers in attendance.
