Stills Found Hidden Beneath Boiler in Town Cleanup
While cleaning a gin site Friday evening, Mr. H C Miller and workers uncovered two five gallon stills beneath a boiler in a secluded area. Adulph Semvers alerted Miller, who summoned his son and City Marshal Canon. The stills were seized and stored in the city residence awaiting orders from authorities. The owner likely hid them after recent raids, and Miller was later joked about the episode as if it were an April Fool’s prank.
