Emil Ruchmann and J M Cannon celebrated a joint birthday with a barbecue in Henkbaus pasture on Boggy Creek last Sunday March Sth. About 30 to 40 Shiner citizens attended with Mutton, a young pig, fresh bread and pickles. speeches followed by social games and toasts. Mrs L Gantert and Pauline visited from Yoakum Saturday and Sunday. Mrs J D Jenkins of Mumford visits sister Mrs Lord at the hospital. Dr J D Gray made calls in Yoakum Monday. Mrs O G Lord of Yoakum operated on Sunday at Shiner hospital. Mrs H A Lindenberg of Yoakum operated on Sunday and is doing nicely.
