Luling Foundation Farm Visit Receives Vocational Thanks

A Shiner Vocational Agricultural class visited the Luling Foundation Farm under manager Jack Shelton. The 1251 acre farm emphasizes soil conservation with terracing and legumes, breeds Jersey cattle, Leghorn hens, Duroc Jersey sows, and emphasizes livestock marketing and soil enrichment from manure. Nearly 200 Vocational Agriculture students attended, heard talks on records, and were invited to return for further study and guidance.

Twentieth Century Club Marks Eighth Annual Social

The Twentieth Century Club held its eighth annual social with Mrs. C. B. Welhaus en as gracious host.
