The Shiner Clipper Club held its annual barbecue on Saturday February 28 1976 at the VFW home starting at 3 p.m. A 5 45 p.m. meal featured boneless beef barbecue. Mikeska Catering Service of El Campo handled the food and club members renewed their 1976 memberships.

Burglaries occurred at Shiner Public School likely Sunday night. Entry gained through cafeteria gym and office buildings. Deputies Hobbs and DeHarde investigated.
