A. D. Voskamp Rites In New Ulm

Ardnie D. Voskamp Sr. of New Ulm dies at Columbus Hospital on February 20 1965 after a long illness. Funeral services are at St. John's Lutheran Church with burial in New Ulm Cemetery. He was born October 2 1895 and aged 69, survived by his wife two daughters one son six grandchildren and siblings. He served in World War I and was active in church and local civic groups.

Horse Show In Flatonia Thursday March 25

Rites Held for T. J. Ward Former DeWitt County Official

Funeral services were held Saturday February 27 1965 for Thomas Jefferson Ward 78 longtime Yoakum resident and former DeWitt County Commissioner. Minister Roy Stevens officiated at the Church of Christ and Restland Memorial Park. Surviving are wife Nancy F. Ward three sons two daughters fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Ward active in civic groups and Masonic Lodge served Precinct 2 as county commissioner from 1950 to 1964.

Publisher Lee Sedlmeyer Hospitalized With Pneumonia

Lee J. Sedlmeyer publisher of the Shiner Gazette was taken to Wagner Hospital Saturday morning after becoming seriously ill with pneumonia. His condition was reported improving by Wednesday morning at press time.

Shiner Club to Host Pancake Supper and Womanless Wedding

The Shiner Quarterback Club plans a pancake supper from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. followed by a womanless wedding in the gym on Saturday, March 13. Adult prices are 50 cents for supper and 50 cents for the wedding, with children under 12 at 25 cents for each event. Aaron Crawford and Jerry Cox are named as bride and groom in the bridal party.
