Flag Day Parade Attracts Large Crowds In Halletsville
Crowds from surrounding sections filled the streets for Flag Day events. The parade started around 10 am delayed by Haskell ville arrival, led by the Shiner Band, with decorated cars, a Betsy Ross entry, and the Japa nese garden car. Mayor E Runk spoke at the park and O Ellis Jr delivered the day’s address. Proceeds from poppy sales benefited the Legion sanitarium Kerrville. Halletsville baseball won 7 to 3 and 400 dance tickets were sold for the evening ball.
