The Shiner Clippers defeated the Flatonia Wildcats 5-2 in Shiner to tie for first place at 6-2 with one regular season game left. Doug Resseler earned the win, striking out eight and delivering eighth innings of shutout relief after a 2-0 deficit. The Clippers added two runs in the fourth and two insurance runs in the seventh. They host Hallettsville Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in the final regular season game prior to playoffs with 10 cent beer day.
