Local Post Office Personnel Approved for Second Class Status
Word was received that the Post Office Dept has approved Mrs Erna Longoria and Miss Marie Lahodny as regular clerks when the local office becomes second class on July 1. Edwin Pohler has been appointed sub clerk. The change allows all day window service and mail distribution on Sundays and holidays by the substitute with no mail to non box holders on Sundays.

Mrs Johanna Kutach Dies at 78 In Worthing Community
Mrs Johanna Kutach died June 9 at Wagner Hospital Shiner after a short illness. She was 78 and a Worthing resident widow of merchant F J Kutach who died in 1934. Requiem Mass was held at St Marys Church with Rev Murski officiating. Surviving children include John Adolph Kutach and several daughters. 59 grandchildren and 24 great grandhildren. Several children predeceased her.
