Dem exec committee bars Ferguson from senate ticket
The State Democratic Executive Committee refused to place James E. Ferguson on the Democratic Primary for U.S. Senator and instead listed his wife. The committee said Ferguson did not vote the Democratic ticket in the last general election. Local Livaca County committee had a different ruling. It is hoped the error will be corrected before the primary. Ferguson is punished for disloyalty to the party.

Black assailant killed after identification in Waco attack
In Waco Texas on May 26 a Black man named Jessie Thomas identified by Mrs Maggie Hays as her attacker and Harrel Bolton's killer was shot fatally by Sam Harris father of Mrs Hays at 5 15 pm. The crowd then burned the body. Harris carried an automatic item and began firing as his daughter cried out that was the man. Thomas collapsed at the foot of steps near the back gallery.
