Austin Czech Fest Slated for August at Fiesta Gardens
The 8th Annual Czech Fest will be held in Austin on Friday August 6 from 6:00 p.m. to midnight at Fiesta Gardens on Town Lake. The evening features Czech atmosphere with food costumes and entertainment including the Austin KJZT KZT Junior Dancers Phyllis and the Merry Musicians of Granger the Victoria Choir and others. Continuous music from the Harry Czarnek Orchestra and Leroy Matocha band aids dancing while puppet shows entertain children. Dinner plates include home styled Czech sauerkraut potatoes with bacon Czech sausage and pickle plus kolache and baked goods. A novelty booth offers souvenirs arts and crafts and more.
