Impressive Military Rites Held For B. Emil Novak
B Emil Novak died July 12 at Trinity Lutheran Home Shiner aged 76 years 8 months 3 days. His funeral was at Buffington Funeral Home and Shiner Catholic Church with full military honors by the American Legion Kolar Stanek Post 201 and a firing squad. He served in World War I with the 360th Infantry 90th Division and is survived by four children and 16 grandchildren.

J G Konvicka aged 70 years seven months and fourteen days died suddenly July 18 1965 at his office home in Hallettsville of a heart attack. He served Lavaca County as treasurer and ran a tax office for farmers ranchers and business people. He was a parish member of Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus and SPJST. He is survived by wife Carrie Ol sovsky three children three brothers six sisters and nine grandchildren. Funeral July 21 at Kubena Funeral Home and Sacred Heart Church with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Rosaries were recited at the funeral home and church on specified dates.
