Otto Knack Jupe Wedding Bells In Cuero Vicinity

Otto Knack Jupe, owner of Shiner ator Sales, wed Clara Kuck of Hochheim on May 22 at 10:30 A M in Theran Parsonage with Rev Erhardt officiating. Attendants Edna Menke Hilda Kuck and Alford Hinze joined the couple at Elite Cafe wedding dinner before departing for Galveston on their honeymoon. The bride’s family, Weinbattes, is noted as prominent in the area. Jupe is a civil engineer and local progressive businessman. The newlyweds reside at the DeWitt Nowlin bungalow.

Ladies Aid at M E Church Meeting in Hallettsville

On the afternoon of the 24th Mrs. Annie Mewes hosted the Methodist Ladies Aid Society. Mrs. Peck Welhausen led devotionals, Mrs. Wo Wandtland Jr. presided, and the group decided to purchase a Congoleum Rug for the parsonage. Mrs. A L Fuller conducted the Bible lesson. refreshments followed with bouquets of zinnias and daisies on the tables.

July Fourth Picnic at Gonzales Church Grounds

July Fourth celebration at Gonzales features a mass at 10 15 A M with Glee Club from St Edward's University Austin a sermon by Rev J O'Brien and a religious patriotic program. Next Tuesday night July 7 at Legion Park the Apron and Overalls Dance promises music from Schulze Orchestra and an open invitation with 50 cent admission. In a separate note Mr and Mrs Louis Trautwein left Sunday for Wilson and Amarillo to visit daughters. Trautwein will oversee a 900 acre farm with many cultivators at once and shows signs of a wonderful crop.

The 500 Club hosted a Wednesday farewell party for Mrs. E J Henkhaus as she moves to Lubbock. Hostess Mrs. E J Tomasco welcomed guests at Mrs. A Wolters home.
