Gonzales Man in Hospital After San Antonio Trial
Solomon Stahl an elderly Gonzales resident remained in a hospital today after a federal court declared a mistrial in the liquor manufacture and possession case with Carmen Manoz of Gonzales. The jury failed to agree after five hours deliberation. Stahl denied knowledge of his property being used illicitly and had swooned in court yesterday. He was said to be suffering nervous shock.

Death of Henry Renken in Austin and burial in Shiner
Henry Renken died in Austin Sunday night after a months long illness and friends informed relatives Monday. His body arrived in Shiner Tuesday night on the 9 o clock train and was taken to Richard Wendel's home. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 30 p m with burial beside his wife in City Cemetery. He was 74 years 10 months and 20 days old. A fuller obituary will appear next week.
