Mrs. Jacob Patek nee Agnes Siegel of Shiner died February 20 1972 in Shiner Hospital at 78. Requiem Mass held at Shiner Catholic Church with Msgr. Hanacek. burial in Shiner Catholic Cemetery. Survived by daughter Frances Fojtik and son-in-law Lonnie, sister Elizabeth Valis, three grandsons Alfonse Jerry and Steve, four great grandchildren.

Andrew Ray Haywood received a five year probated penitentiary sentence in District Court at Hallettsville on Monday February 14 for forgery. Henry Gibbons was fined 500 dollars plus costs for contempt of court. Roger Dominguez faced aggravated assault charges and was fined 296.50 including 27 hours in county jail on Wednesday February 16.

Dale Dolezal and Ernie Schreiber of the Shiner Future Farmers of America chapter caught calves in the San Antonio rodeo. Ernie finished second with a calf and earned a $45 certificate, Dale finished third with a $40 certificate. Clarence Harabis also competed but did not catch a calf. Funeral services were held for Mrs. Joe A Molnoskey nee Frances Chilek of Shiner. She died February 16 1972 at Shiner Hospital at age 69 years 10 months and 25 days. Requiem Mass was February 19 at Saints Cyril and Methodius Church. Interment at Shiner Catholic Cemetery. She was born March 21 1902 in Gonzales County Texas. She married Joe A Molnoskey October 6 1926 and they farmed in Shiner and Gonzales areas. Survived by five sons two sisters one brother and 14 grandchildren. Her husband died April 26 1964 and one son Albert Molnoskey died February 15 1951.
