Judge Quinn, appointed by Governor Neff, opens the Gonzales district court on January 2 to a docket of 147 cases. Plan Set for County Institute in Hallettsville
County Supt F Schoppe City Supt H K Williams and DeWitt officials met in Yoakum to arrange the next teachers institute and a summer normal. They plan to hire Dr Charles McMurrey of Peabody Normal to lead the joint county institute likely including Lavaca Colorado DeWitt and Fayette. The institute will be held in Hallettsville the first week in September. The group also decided not to hold a summer normal in this section as it was not a paying proposition.
