Tragic Death of Mrs Willie Kortwig Sr at Moulton

Mrs Willie Kortwig Sr of Moulton is reported dead after vanishing from her home Saturday night and being found in the Lavaca River Sunday morning. She had battled cancer and despondency over health is cited as a factor. She leaves husband and two grown children Willie Kortwig Jr and Mrs Erna Wustenbart. The former Miss Alma Lause. Funeral held in Moulton Monday morning.

Two Cars Collide West of Shiner. Several Hurt

A V eight occupied by Mrs Alvina Wolters of Shiner her nephew Louis Gloor of Kerrville and Jack Hampson of Kerrville and a Model A driven by Laddie Mladenka collided on the highway west of town last Thursday evening. Both cars were wrecked but all occupants escaped with non critical injuries after receiving treatment for cuts bruises and shock from Dr R W Williams. Mr Hampson had a broken leg above the ankle.

Mrs Adolf Pesek nee Mary Grill dies at 44 after five months illness at the family home in Shiner. Survived by husband Adolf Pesek and father Alfons Grill Sr with brother Alfons Grill Jr. one brother Joseph predeceased her. Funeral Mass at Sts Cyrill and Methodius Church. interred in local Catholic Cemetery. pallbearers were brothers-in-law Tom Joe John Frank Chas and Rudy Pesek. The community mourns a devout Catholic and devoted wife.

Mary Mikeska Funeral Rites Held In Local Cemetery
