He was born July 17 1872 in Floresville and survived by his wife three sons four daughters one brother five sisters and 29 grandchildren.

The Shiner Volunteer Fire Department announces its New Year’s Eve dance for Saturday December 31 at Legion Park. Joe Patek’s Orchestra will provide music with admission 75 cents for gents and 25 cents for ladies tax included. The event will be held regardless of weather and all are invited. No fireworks allowed on park premises.
