The regular meeting of the La vaca De Witt County Rural Car riers held in Shiner Saturday night included supper at Pohler's Cafe. After the meal the group moved to the Fire Station for a business session and the annual election of officers. W. L. Roddy of Yorktown was elected President, Henry Fischbeck of Moulton Vice President, Henry Hirsch Secretary Treasurer. Delegates to the 1936 State Convention in San Antonio were Henry Hirsch and W. L. Two Teachers Elected Saturday Night
The Board of Trustees met in special session Saturday night Aug. 24 for the purpose of selecting two teachers for the 2nd and 7th grades to fill vacancies from resignations. Velma Eubanks of Putman Texas was chosen for the 7th grade and Dorothy Lee Willcoxon of Austin for the 2nd grade. Both are degree teachers with several years experience and come well recommended.
