The couple planned to reside in Levittown New York after a reception at the bride’s home and a luncheon at Yoakum’s Quast’s with out of town guests from Dallas Galveston Brooklyn and more.

Army to begin first draft batch in November
Washington The Army plans to start inducting about 15,000 men under the new draft law between November 1 and 15. Maj. Gen. John E. Dahlquist said the 60 day window after a manpower requisition will govern inductions as Selective Service prepares camps and training. He noted enlistments rising to 30,000 monthly later, with the August 30 national registration for 18 to 25 year olds.

The remains of Steve E Stock 26 arrived Tuesday afternoon and rested in state at the Eschenburg Funeral Parlor. Services will be held Thursday morning at 8 30 a m at his parents home then a Requiem High Mass at 9 00 a m at Shiner Catholic Church. Interment will be in Shiner Catholic Cemetery. Stock was killed in action in France December 14 1944.

Military Honors For Roscoe L Nollkamper At Homecoming Rites
The body of T-5 Roscoe L. Nollkamper arrived August 17 for re interment with full military honors by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He died January 26, 1944 in a Braintree England hospital at 26.5 years. Survivors include parents and two brothers, with services held at the family home and burial in Shiner City Cemetery.
