Multiple Stage Lint Cleaning At Cotton Gins
The U S Department of Agriculture report shows that multiple lint cleanings raise bale value for some grades but cause weight loss. One cleaner often boosts value of Middling or lower White bales, while further cleanings offer limited gains. Quality factors like fiber length and nep increase risk, mitigated by proper moisture and careful gin operation. Weekend visitors include Harry Lee of Houston and Mark Student visiting Thomas Hughs. Paul Zaruba plans to take Mark home Friday.
