School Trustee Election Quiet and Unopposed
A total of 141 votes were cast in Saturday's school trustee election. The regular ticket faced no opposition and the former members were reelected. Waldemar Tieken 125 votes, Dr A A Darilek 122, H G Hollmann 136, one complimentary vote for A H Kaspar. For County School Trustee Charles McElroy received 97 votes and A F Nollkamper 40.

Fire destroys Commercial Hotel in Sunday blaze
Sunday night around 8 30 the Commercial Hotel building burned down. Firefighters responded quickly but the old wooden structure, over 40 years in use, was largely lost with no occupants present.
