Immense attendance marks funeral for Charles Netardus who died in an accidental home incident at Wied on March 26. Herbert Freytag of Flatonia died at Shiner hospital Thursday night at age 38. Funeral services were held Saturday at 3 p.m. from the family residence and burial followed in Flatonia cemetery. The Rev. G. R. Hobson officiated. He is survived by his widow and two children Marvin and Audrey, his parents Mr. and Mrs. L Freytag, three brothers Robert of Three Rivers Walter P. of LaGrange Dr I P Freytag of Flatonia, and two sisters Norma Freytag of Flatonia and Mrs L Kidd of California.

An annular solar eclipse will occur Sunday afternoon between 2:15 and 5 o'clock. The belt spans a 160 mile wide path from Southern Louisiana across Texas to the Big Bend region and into Mexico.
