High producing cows highlighted in July dairy report
Isabella County dairy notes list top fat producing cows for July led by William Block’s cow at 95 lbs fat, Robert Clark second with 95 lbs, and William Bollman and Son with 94 lbs. Additional records include Marion Johnson and Son and Murphy Brothers tied at 86-89 lbs, plus several others. Michigan Cattle Feeders Day featured experiments on high energy butt silage, corn supplementation, and implant accuracy with energy gains and diet effects in 1961.
