Former Resident Homer Norton Dies in Palo Michigan
Homer Norton a former Shepherd resident who later moved to Palo Michigan died at his home on Tuesday November 20 after a long illness. Funeral services were held Friday November 23 at Stebbins Funeral Home in Sheridan with burial at Aurelius Cemetery. Born October 23, 1885 he leaves a wife and a niece who lived with the Norton family. Relatives from Calif and St Louis attended the service.

Earl D Burt of 117 East Wright Street Shepherd died Thursday November 22 at Central Michigan Community Hospital. He was born December 18 1888 in AuSable Michigan and lived here 30 years. Survived by wife Virginia a son William F Burt of Bay City four daughters and four grandchildren. services Monday November 26 at Stinson Funeral Home with Rev Lloyd VanLente. Burial in Kelly Cemetery. He was a Moose Lodge member.
