F F A Members Attend State Convention Highlights
Tim Meyers and Gale Sanders served as chapter delegates aiding the 10 074 member association with the state FFA convention. The event conferred 204 State Farmer Degrees and named DeLane Ruess of Owosso as Star State Farmer. Delegates elected state officers for the coming year led by President Dale E Nye Reporter Douglas Lewis and Secretary David P Tutack.

The Babcock Wilcox Company is constructing the world’s largest shop fabricated nuclear reactor pressure vessel to contain steam and water at 1250 psi and 575 F. It will power turbogenerators to generate 715000 kilowatts for an electric utility company.
