Joe Ulsh Post and Auxiliary members attended the Department Convention in Lansing. The Auxiliary earned the membership trophy for the most new and reinstated members, achieving 100 percent plus 26 by May and seven more since then. Officers elected included Zigmund Zybulski as Commander and Ruth Gallagher to head the Auxiliary.

Postal Rates Change July First Rollout
Postmaster Walker announced postage changes effective July 1. Air mail to Bermuda and Central America rises to 13 cents. Mt. Pleasant Crash Leaves One Driver Uninjured
Burton E. Maybee of Shephard, 48, escaped injury when his gravel filled dump truck collided with Ernest Aho's 1959 Ford at the High and College Streets intersection Saturday morning about 8 30. Aho was treated at Community Hospital and released with no injuries. he received a summons for failure to yield the right of way.
