Dr Richard F Nowak joined the Shepherd Clinic July 1 expanding its growing practice. He and his wife moved to Westlawn with their year old daughter Jennifer. Born in Flint raised in Au Gres he trained at Central Michigan University Chicago College of Osteopathy and Phoenix General Hospital. He recently earned Michigan license and is welcomed by the community.

Restoration of the Kit chentte Restaurant after last Monday's fire is progressing well with volunteers aiding the effort. A new floor is in place and more kitchen space is being added, though bakery and dining areas will take longer to reopen. The partial reopening of the original section will be welcomed by morning coffee seekers and diners.
1965 World Horseshoe Tournament Set for Keene
The ten day 1965 World Horseshoe Tournament at Keene New Hampshire runs July 30 to August 10 and is expected to draw 25000 or more enthusiasts. Top days crowd may exceed 5000. Qualifying in first four days, final week for contest. Lower classes women juniors daytime, Class A lights 5 PM to 11 PM. 1964 champion Tom Reno and women’s champ Sue Gillespie expected to contend with 250 to 300 contestants.
