The Joe Alsh Auxiliary 8215 VFW presents a Whose Who Variety Show at Shepherd High School Auditorium on January 31 at 8 p.m. Community Good Neighbors will have their names revealed during the program with local citizens assisting.
Twelve Girl Scouts have completed Tenderfoot requirements and will hold Investiture Services on Tuesday January 29 at the Community Center from 4:00 to 4:30. Mothers are invited to witness the ceremony.
Navy Ensign Michael C. Riggle, son of Mr and Mrs Harold Riggle of Winn, completed Officer Candidate School at the Naval Base in Newport Rhode Island and was commissioned as an officer in the Navy.
The January Taylor 4 H meeting at Dale Mindel home opened with a pledge led by Rosanne Gillespie and Judy Ettinger. They enjoyed ice fishing snow play and cooking during a twenty four hour woods camping. Saginaw troops also camped at Camp Rotary this weekend.

Frank Curtis of rural Winn visited Grant Curtiss last Wednesday afternoon. Charles Bellingar and Mrs Bellingar of Six Lakes called on Grant Curtiss Tuesday. Ari Hungerford and wife visited his brother William Hungerford in rural Elwell Friday. Vernon Fike and family attended a Moorman Manufacturing potluck and sales meeting in Leslie Saturday.
