The Shephard Town and Country Recreation Association will present the Melody of Spring Fashion on March 31 1962 at 8 00 p m in the high school gymnasium Tickets cost 1 00 for adults 50 cents for Junior High and High School students and free admission for children from the 6th grade down Music will be provided by Mr Lemmer and upper elementary students A complete models list is ready and Mr Harry Brattin will be the commentator Merchants are being invited to advertise via door prizes Publicity will be handled by Mr Russell Lethorn The recreation group urges local families to support the project to fund a trained park supervisor and create an annual event demanding community backing to make it a gala success
Francis Cauchon, named Executive Vice President and Cashier earlier this year, announces that at the February 20 board meeting the bank altered its officers. Cauchon relinquished Cashier. Max Augustine becomes Cashier. George R. Bates becomes Vice President. Lavern a Hallock becomes Assistant Cashier. All have long connections with the bank.
Attorney General Frank J. Kelley announced the Finance Commission approved 26000 in General Obligation bonds for Shepherd village water system improvements. The bonds run to 1971 and fund wells pumping equipment and water mains to be paid from ad valorem taxes as needed.
