Santa Claus Visits Planned for December Festivities
The Shepherd Chamber of Commerce announces Santa Claus will visit Friday December 18 at 6 30 pm in the old theatre lobby and again Saturday afternoon for those unable to attend. Weather dependent sleigh arrival noted with safety reminders from the Isabella County Safety Council citing December 1963 traffic death and injury figures and holiday costs.

March of Dimes Campaign Organized in Shepherd Area
Lyle Rhynard heads a new March of Dimes committee in Isabella County with Mr and Mrs Lyle Rhynard and others named on the starter list. Events include a January 7 record hop on WCEN, a January 8 public dance at Coe Center, and January 18 country music at Shepherd High School with ISABELLA County queen contest announced. James leads the drive with plans for a card party fundraiser hosted at local homes and a Miss Isabella County March of Dimes pageant winner to be crowned January 9 at Mt. Pleasant Senior High School.
