Life Insurance Options for Policemen and Endowment Conversions
The Institute of Life Insurance explains that a motorcycle assignment does not affect existing policies but may raise premiums for new ones. It also notes endowment policies cannot automatically convert to straight life, though a company may allow a conversion if you are still insurable, potentially refunding part of the endowment and costing less than a new policy.
