Shafter Woman Opens Stained Glass Overlay Studio
Janet McCaslin, lifelong Shafter resident, launches a stained glass overlay business from a mobile home studio on Scaroni Avenue. She measures windows and creates custom designs with a cut glass look, using a plotter pattern, lighted workspace, and leaded finishes. Prices range from 60 to 85 dollars per square foot, offering a cheaper, warrantied alternative to traditional stained glass.
