Richland-Lerdo plans three major school projects in Shafter
Superintendent Dan Knapp announces three initiatives at Richland-Lerdo Elementary: land purchase for a future school site at Valley and Mark, SCICON Environmental Camp investment, and construction of a Neighborhood Activity Center. An 18.8 acre purchase spans six years with completion set for June 1995. Also noted are highway safety concerns on Highway 46 and advocacy by Assemblymen Florez and Ashburn over five years of meetings and proposals to reduce accidents and fatalities on the two-lane road.
