Northwest Ballet grows with Wasco area expansion
Wasco area records growth in dance as Wasco Childrens Ballet began in 1974 at the Womens Club Wasco. After moving to 933 Seventh Street in 1975 the school joined local clubs to perform and promote the arts. In 1979 adult ballet classes began leading to a name change to Northwest Ballet to reflect broader needs. The school offers training for children and adults and funds operations through its own sale of dancewear under the guidance of a professional teacher.
