Shafter-Wasco Plan Advance Gifts Campaign for Hospital Unit
The Shafter-Wasco Community tax committee led by Elbert Franz outlines an advance gifts committee to solicit funds in November and December. A professional solicitor, possibly Louis D. Barr, would begin Jan 2, 1953, with drafts of incorporation and by-laws prepared by August W. Koenig and Edwin Wilson. The plan also considers enlarging the hospital board to 11 members with two additional representatives from each community.
