Walking Blood Bank plan proposed for Shafter citizens
Dr Henry Voth told the Lions Club a walking blood bank would type and cross match Shafter residents to create a master supply list. The plan aims to meet local blood needs and reduce dependence on Bakersfield Houchin Bank. It could let individuals choose whether to donate when called. Lions also voted to provide ribbons for Richland School intra flag football winners and judges.
