Waxed Floor Fight At Local RTC Sparks Inmate Disturbance
A disturbance at the Shafter Return to Custody facility Friday night followed a dispute over a freshly waxed floor. Lt. Claude Cash said the fight began about 8 55 p m and lasted five minutes before control was restored. The melee involved Hispanic white and black inmates, with officials noting no clear racial motivation.
