New Kern Municipal Court Features Expanded Space and Security
Blinn discusses the new Kern Municipal Court complex reflecting increased security with a high security cell and Sally port at the back prisoner entrance. Shafter Extends Chamber Contract. Recyclables Drive Set
Shafter officials extend the Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture contract through December, paying $300 monthly for city advertising. A calendar year contract begins January 1, 1990. Kern County workers from Pacific Gas and Electric Company display red ribbons as part of national Red Ribbon Week October 22 to 29. Kern Division Manager Mike Moore delivered over 1,000 ribbons to be placed on PG&E vehicles and made available to customers at offices in Bakersfield Taft Ridgecrest and Wasco in support of the Community Action Against Drug and Alcohol Abuse project.
