The Rock and Mineral Show at the Shafter activity center is canceled due to scheduling conflicts. The City of Shafter seeks letters of interest from residents 18 and older to join the Planning Commission, due by Friday noon November 8 at City Hall. City teams with Freedom Homes to widen Schnaidt Street from Lerdo Highway to West Euclid Avenue as Phase I of a broader plan. City approves park table purchase for Manuel and Rodriguez Parks
The Shafter City Council at the October 15 meeting approved buying 24 aluminum picnic tables for Manuel and Rodriguez Parks. The 2002-2003 Parks Budget includes 12,000 for the purchase with three bids.
