Shafter curfew issue to be revised after student petition
A Shafter City Council plan to revise the 9 p m curfew follows a high school petition asking for a later hour. City Attorney Al Mortimer explains the 1965 codification and 1952 revisions removed obsolete ordinances and that most dead wood was eliminated. The council is expected to craft a compromise ordinance aligned with student wishes and update the official code.
