Groundbreaking for Intertie Pipeline Conserves Water Bank
Wasco and Shafter water officials broke ground Tuesday on the Intertie Pipeline Project linking the Shafter Wasco Irrigation District and Semitropic Water Storage District. The 3.5 mile pipeline, funded by a 3.5 million loan, will store water underground for year round use and connect Wasco stored water with state systems to meet future needs.
