Mr and Mrs John Ross will become the third in the Ross family to buy a Rasco franchise taking over the Pasco Washington store next Monday Oct 11. Baxleys move to Chula Vista to run the Sanger Rasco and John Baxley will take over that franchise Oct 13. A family dinner at the Vernon Ross home included members from Fresno and J L Cunningham father of Mrs Ross.

Kern Exhibit Wins Top Prize at State Fair
Kern County's Century of Progress exhibit won the top sweepstakes in the diversity of industry class at the California State Fair. The display debuted Friday at the Los Angeles County Fair and earned a $1600 cash prize plus featurette sweepstakes in oil, cotton, wine and more than 60 ribbons. The exhibit drew over 850000 fairgoers and is expected to win more prizes at Pomona and the LA County Fair. Keith Skidmore designed the winning display which highlights Kern County agriculture oil industry and mining in a mechanized age with a giant animated robot as the focal point.
