Housing Authority plans water line changes for Shafter project
The Water and Sewer Utility Committee proposed waiving connection fees as the Housing Authority funds enlarged sewer and water lines for a 100 unit Shafter project. Engineer William Rickett said budget limits risk delaying the Section 23 leasing program, with final Washington approval possible if funds hold. If approved, units would be built off site in Kern County and moved to Shafter next spring.
